Growing Competition
This year we are holding a chilli plant growing area with growing demos by Craig McKnight, Wahaca's Chilli-Growing Guru, and Growell Hydroponics for both regular (soil) and hydroponic (soiless) systems so bring your chilli queries to the FFUK Chilli Gardeners' Question Time.
A first for this year, we are asking all amateur chilli growers to enter our chilli pepper competition which will be judged by some illustrious professional growers.
The categories are: longest chilli pepper
most unusual variety
strangest-looking
tastiest
most scary-looking
We are also holding a "Best Plant" competition - the judges will be looking for shape and size of the plant, leaf colour, most prolific-fruiting, and general health of the plant. There's still time to sow those seeds to bring your plants to perfection in time for the September FFUK Chillli Fest.
